MARTIN QUALIFIES 4TH, EARNS 3RD PODIUM OF SEASON IN TORONTO RACE 1

TORONTO (June 13, 2015) – After a two week of reprieve from a busy 2015 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda schedule, Anthony Martin and the #33 Burgess BLA / John Cummiskey Racing team headed north of the border for 2 races at Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on the 1.755m, 11 turn street circuit.

Martin spent the off weeks learning the circuit through old race footage and simulator testing and the time proved to be well spent as Martin took 4th place on the grid in the Saturday morning qualifying session.

Martin was able to overtake Aaron Telitz for 3rd place on the start and battled with points leader Nico Jamin throughout the early portions of the race. The overtake on Telitz, who Martin is chasing for 3rd place in the championship standings, paved the way for Martin to earn his 3rd podium of the season and second in the last 3 races. Martin’s finish also extends his streak of top-5 finishes to 5 consecutive races, and 8 Top-5 finishes in the first 10 races of 2015.

The #33 Burgess BLA / John Cummiskey Racing entry also welcomed two new partners for the Toronto race weekend.

The Old Spaghetti Factory, originally a Blacksmith shop built in 1898, was converted into a restaurant in 1971 and is filled with a fabulous collection of antiques and truly unique local artifacts.

Also coming on board for the Toronto race is the famed Scotland Yard, nestled in along The Esplanade, Scotland Yard Pub has been a Toronto institution for well over 35 years. The pub is a landmark of the St. Lawrence market neighborhood in Old Town Toronto.

The #33 Burgess BLA / John Cummiskey Racing team will look to close out the double-header weekend on another high note Sunday, June 14th (9AM Eastern) in race 2 at Exhibition Place. Martin will again start 4th, based on his Saturday qualifying time.
